We provide intensive teacher training, ongoing coaching and in-depth support for English teachers in marginal communities, helping to elevate the quality of education in those communities.
Rural and remote schools across the developing world struggle to attract and retain qualified and experienced teachers, and so the standard of in-school English literacy education is very low. While the Plus English learning app and pedagogical framework help to offset deficiencies in teaching quality, our training programs work to remedy these deficiencies. They do so by increasing teachers’ capacity to not only teach English effectively, but to confidently manage a tech-enabled classroom too.
Teachers who will facilitate Plus English in their classroom (generally but not always an English teacher) undertakes prior intensive teacher training. Training sessions run over two days. In Cambodia and India, these sessions are conducted in-person by our in-country teams. Elsewhere, sessions are conducted remotely.
